Today Bob from I Like to Make Stuff released a video of his build of a weight bench.
His design is very solid and made from by welding quarter inch thick steel square tubing.
This reminds me of a project from Steve Ramsey (Woodworking for Mere Mortals) a while ago. While in the early days of lockdown Steve correctly realized that we were all going to be here a long time and it would be best if he could workout from home.
He also made a weight bench but his was made completely out of wood (pine I believe).
The thing I love most about these two projects are that they have the same result but are made with completely different materials, techniques, and skillsets.
Bob’s uses metalworking while Steve uses woodworking. Both are completely valid ways of making something and show that anyone can make what they need in their life with the tools that they have.Categories: 3D Printing, Metalworking, Woodworking
